Short, Lightweight and freaking sexy. Not to mention you can throw it like a hatchet if you have to .

I dunno, if I can, I'll take a regular shovel but cut it down to a yard in lenght. Small enough to maneuver, but large enough to parry, buttstroke, and dig holes in the back of Mare's head.

Although survival shovels look promising as well.

I might even be tempted to do a walking cane trick and put in a barrel, trigger, etc... to reinforce it with the metal barrel but also shoot someone with a .45ACP surprise.
