What I'm saying is that it was confirmed that Crosby contacted Parise and tried to sell him to come to Pittsburgh. Wayne Gretzky just did the same thing on behalf of the Oilers to get Justin Schultz (a highly coveted FA) to sign with the Oilers.

It is rumored that Parise could get 10 years, $80 million from the Penguins. I'm just saying don't be surprised if Parise goes with them.

Lose Schultz and get parise?....o God....please dont let this happen. If parise didnt have such a high price tag the jets would be all over him. Doesnt seem likely that Parise is gonna stay with NJ and with all that money from pits?....next season is going to get crazy

Dwight Howard drama drama drama.

Did anyone else catch the Joe Johnson trade proposal? Johnson to the Nets for 5 nets players, a 1st round lottery draft pick, and the Hawks would send their 90 million dollar owed debt from other trades to the nets.

Holy cow.

Joe Johnson is worth a 1st rounder, but not the extras. LOL the Hawks must be smoking some strong shit if they actually proposed that. Just becuase the Nets have a rich Russian owner don't mean he's stupid when it comes to money.

Ooooh yes he is, the trade is contingent on Derron Williams resigning. That Russian owner and Jay-Z know you gotta spend money to make money.

But now the new trade made by the Nets is...

Get ready for it...

Dwight Howard for...

Jordan Farmar, Kris Humpries, 3 other no names, $30 million owed debt from the Magic, and the Nets next 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 first round draft picks.

Oh but now it looks like Derron Willians resigned with the Nets and Johnson is heading to Brooklyn.

Yea I heard about that, Dwight Howard wants to get traded ONLY to the Nets. He told the Magic to trade him only to the Nets otherwise he's gonna play his last year with the Magic and go somewhere else as an FA next year. So I guess they probably want to get the trade done to at least get something in return for Howard. I call this a Dwight-mare!

Steve Nash looks like he's heading to either Dallas or Toronto, both teams offered him a good chunk of change. Dallas offered 2 years at 20 mil and Toronto offered 3 years at 36 mil. Nash is 38 yrs old but man he can still play. Also, I love how the Raptors put a choke hold over the Knicks by putting in an offer sheet for Landry Fields which the Knicks won't be able to match. If the Raptors can land both Nash and Fields I'd be incredibly happy.

Free agent forward Zach Parise and defenceman Ryan Suter have both agreed to terms on contracts with the Minnesota Wild.

Suter's deal is 13 years.

Parise missed the majority of the 2010-2011 season due to injury, but returned last season with 31 goals and 38 assists in 82 games for the New Jersey Devils. He would add eight goals and seven assists in 24 playoff games to help lead the team to the Stanley Cup Final.

Suter scored seven goals and 39 assists in 79 games with the Nashville Predators in 2011-12. He was selected to represent the team at the All-Star Game in Ottawa.

The Devils had signed Parise to a one-year deal worth $6 million prior to the season while Suter is coming off a four-year, $14 million contract he signed with the Predators in 2008.

Both players were members of a star-studded first round draft class from 2003 with the Predators selecting Suter with the seventh overall pick and Parise being selected 17th overall by the Devils.

Parise, who will turn 28 this summer, has scored 194 goals and 216 assists in 502 career games with the Devils. He was named to the NHL's Second All-Star Team in 2008-09.

The 27-year-old Suter had spent his entire seven-year career in Nashville after the team of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He has scored 38 goals and 200 assists in 542 career games with the Predators.

Both players were members of the silver medal-winning 2010 U.S. Olympic team. The pair were also teammates on the gold medal-winning 2004 USA World Junior Championship team as well as the 2002 American team that won gold at the IIHF under-18 World Championships.
