Lol. Yeah, some of it is a bit out of date these days, of course.

You can criticize the Queen if you like, only in some circles it might still be considered rude!

(Personally, I'm not a big fan of the Crown, but I do like Elizabeth Windsor herself, mainly because she just seems like a nice old lady.)

yup, i'm idealogically opposed, but I've really not got much against them personally

in the meantime, this is a really cool document. I like the term 'Britisher'

Who is slagging off big Liz? WHO?!

My Grandfather had a lot of nice stories about American and Canadian servicemen during the war, first in the army and then navy. When he was in the navy they were given two shots of rum every day. He would save it up and trade a bottle of rum for a bottle of whiskey with the Americans. He was also seconded to many different nation's ships to teach signalman courses etc. He described the food on the American ships as 'incredibly rich'.
