Hello Raiders and Friends!

As most of you know, the command staff has been working towards updating the 1st Marine Raider website. This update should bring a new look to the forums, make our site more secure, and hopefully a bit quicker! I will be making the necessary backups tomorrow. I hope to get the update started Saturday at 9:00 PM EST Sunday at 12:00 AM EST at the earliest (I'll keep this topic up-to-date as needed). I don't know how long it will take for the update to complete, but there will be a lot of work ahead of us getting everything to meet our needs once again. Since it is the same software, just updated, it shouldn't change too much. Use this time now to back up anything you absolutely cannot lose (lists, attachments, etc).

We apologize for any inconvenience that the website outage might cause. Let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns!

Regards,

Lt. Col. Yamagata
Battalion CO

With this update it messes up your signature. It is written in HTML. So when you go to change it you will need to disable HTML and click the little light switch looking button next to the eraser in the top left corner of the reply box.

This will change everything back to how it is supposed to be, but you will have to completely re-do your signature.

It works, but there is no longer a description with the ribbons and medals as you hover over them. *sad face*

You have to re-do them by uncheck marking HTLM and copy paste them from the quartermaster office. Mine work ;D

Hmm... That's not I assumed Gearhart was mentioning. Just that it didn't work. He didn't specify which part.

I was in vent when were figuring out the signature thing. Its a little time consuming but after you turn HTML off you need to completely re paste all of your ribbons from the QM thread. I know, its a pain but it only needs to be done once and your ribbons and medals do have descriptions afterwards.

For anyone that's frustrated with pasting something and having it retain the formatting of the stuff you copied:

1. Start a reply/post

2. Click the Gear and Screwdriver icon on the top right of the text editor

3. Check the box next to " Paste as plain text by default"

That should default pasting as plain text by default
