A. Dubois 1st MRB Posted December 7, 2017 Report Posted December 7, 2017 My loyal mouse that I've had for years is starting to give up me so I would like some advice in getting myself a new one. My hands are somewhat small so I would assume a smaller or thin would be more ideal for comfort in all sorts of aiming situations? What kind of mice are you guys using and do you have any recommendations? Quote
Jankovski Posted December 7, 2017 Report Posted December 7, 2017 I have larger hands however i would still recommend Steelseries Rival 300 to everyone. It sits really nice in the hand and very comfortable for playing games. I also use it work and i can say that it's the best mouse that i had. Quote
J. Anderson 1st MRB Posted December 7, 2017 Report Posted December 7, 2017 I'll also recommend the Rival. I used to have a Rival 300 worked fine except the annoying mouse roller sound it could make. But most of the time I'm wearing a headset so you can barely hear it. Now I have a 700 which funnily enough is also making the same annoying sound despite being the higher end Rival mouse. Despite that annoying little issue the mouse is working flawlessly. Quote
Guest Posted December 7, 2017 Report Posted December 7, 2017 Coolermaster Storm Sentinel (not sure of model). I bought mine years ago, the thing is tough as nails. I also have big hands but i don't palm grip so it might be okay for you. Quote
Arsenault 1st MRB Posted December 8, 2017 Report Posted December 8, 2017 Janko and Anderson, what do you think of the Rival 500? I've had the Steelseries Senseï Raw for as long as I've been in the unit and as I'm getting back into it I'm thinking of changing to the Rival 300/500/700 I can't decide on the model yet. On an other note Wagner, I tried the Logitech G502 in which I had high hopes a few weeks back and simply returned it to the store after one day. I was disapointed and really prefered my old Steelseries to the feel, ergonomy and buttons of the Logitech. I read it might suit smaller hands better though so that might be something you could try. A. Dubois 1st MRB Posted December 8, 2017 Author Report Posted December 8, 2017 Thanks guys! Anderson, which stores in our country lets you feel the mice instead of just looking at them in the box? Quote
Jankovski Posted December 8, 2017 Report Posted December 8, 2017 (edited) I don't like the looks of the rival 500. To many buttons that are a bit unnecessary at least in my opinion. I was deciding between 300 and 700 but i thought paying more for 700 just to get the display on the side was waste of money. I'm satisfied with Rival 300. Anderson can tell you more about 700. Well as Jankovski said the 300 will do fine. The 700 just looks a bit better but it has more or less the same ergonomics as the 300 with a pretty negligible screen. The 700 also has an additional button but I don't use it. The 500 is probably better for those MMORPG's, LoL and stuff when you want or need access to different abilites or use a lot of macros but prefer to have them on the mouse instead of the keyboard. But for a FPS game the 300 will do just fine and It's cheaper than the 500 and the 700 but It's up to you. 3 hours ago, A. Wagner 1st MRB said: Thanks guys! Anderson, which stores in our country lets you feel the mice instead of just looking at them in the box? Well I know that Clas Ohlson let's you feel both mice and keyboards. (At least where I live) I know that they sell Rivals and I think they've got a selection of some Razer mice as well. You can check their site beforehand, sure that won't tell you what they are currently displaying but Its definitely worth a visit. And if you find a mice you like you can always compare them with other stores and save some money buying it where they sell it for the cheapest. I dunno if you have Mediamarkt in Umeå but I think they also display their mice but don't quote me on that. Quote
A. Dubois 1st MRB Posted December 8, 2017 Author Report Posted December 8, 2017 Alright thanks I'll check out claes ohlson's and I guess I could call el giganten to see if they got things on display. We do have a mediamarkt but their salesmen are crap so I won't go there, bought a phone from them and they managed to wreck two of my sim cards when I asked for help to cut it into the micro version the new phones use.. Α-Ω ßÄЯ Posted December 10, 2017 Report Posted December 10, 2017 Finding a mouse can be a very personal experience much like finding a pair of shoes. Other than how they look, it mostly comes down to how it feels and performs. Glad you found a comfortable fit! Enjoy Quote
