right, about 3 weeks ago i had a virus on my PC (the HDD rescue one), i managed to get rid of it last week by deleting all the files then rnning mcafee before deleting these files, mcafee was giving errors out like a little cybertronic bitch, and whe it managed to scan i'd get blue screen of death, that was fixed but then steam stopped working properly and would crashed when i tried to play a game. so i uninstalled it. i then reinstalled it yesterday and downloaded dod:s, i just went on the pub server now and the blood and gore consists of variously sized purple 'n' black cubes, WTF

im going to go back on and bleed a little bit and see if it was just that it hadn't realised about the blood. ill keep you posted

have you tried to format ur maine hard drive? when i get virus that fucks up my comp (was like 5-6 years ago) that is what i did. i know its boring and it takes 1h to get everything back but hos cares no more virus :D

Don't want to be a messenger of bad tidings, but sometimes you can only get rid of a virus by fdisking your HD. I removed a virus from a pc once, reformatted the HD and bugger me the bastard virus was still there. Sometimes they hide in the boot sector. Not saying thats your problem, but something to be aware of.

If your seeing purple and and black squares I beleive this means you do not have the correct texture files, perhaps someone else can confirm this. I wonder if your re doawload of DOD had an error.

Those purple and black boxed graphics are a corrupted texture. I wouldn't go quite so far as reformating, but you may want to reinstall DODS overnight. Or, you could install a bloodmod and it should address the blood side of things. Otherwise, you could disable blood.

      MARINE CORPS ENLISTMENT OFFICE Camp Pendleton, CA   RECRUITMENT LETTER     Hello Paul Smith, Thank you for taking interest in joining the 1st Marine Raider Battalion.   During your trial period the following will occur: Once accepted as a Recruit, you will remain as a Recruit for 2 weeks from the day of your acceptance until the next BCT Class is offered. During your time as a recruit, it is highly encouraged to play within the Public Server and join Discord with our other members. Upon acceptance, you will be contacted by one of our DIs when the next available BCT is scheduled via the appropriate Discord channel.   We have a BCT class every two weeks.
