Question

I have a logitech wireless mouse. It was working fine earlier today, I got the low battery signal, so I swapped out the batteries.

When the mouse turned back on, it was recognizing button pushes, but the pointer wouldn't move. I couldnt see the laser light.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Thanks.

That is a tough one. Can you re-sync it? HAve you tried a system reboot? Give those a try and see what happens. It might be bad batteries, but that hasn't usually been an issue since... well, the early 2000's.

I hope you're not gaming with that wireless. I have been for a while now, but now that I take dods seriously, I have to get wired with good dpi.

Wireless mice tend to be finicky, and are usually not used for gaming. Though 2 of my last 4 mice were wireless, and they worked well most of the time, they eat batteries extremely quickly, and when they're on low battery, they may as well be on no battery, they become next to useless. For gaming, you'll want a wired mouse usually.

However, try re-syncing it, try removing and re-replacing the batteries, a reboot, or even change the wireless receiver's USB port.
