Right, so my computer came packaged with a pioneer blu-ray drive, i recently bought a blu-ray movie hoping it would just play like putting in a dvd would. What a fucking idiot i was, i thought that the computer came packaged with something that would play blu-ray but no. Windows doesnt have any blu-ray player/codec for media player and Acer decided that it would be pointless packaging the blu-ray pc with a fucking blu-ray playing program.
So, I've now spent at least 4 hours shouting at either the TV or the computer. I downloaded cyberlink powerDVD 10 ultra trial version to see if that works at all, i start playing the movie and it works but keeps blacking out as though somebody keeps pulling out the monitor cable and then utting it back in about 3 secs later, only to do it again, it then works fine up until the end of the pre-menu adverts. Then when the movie menu pops up, it does the same thing, except doesn't stop it's slow, gay, retarded, Im-off-im-on-im-going-to-keep-doing-this-until-you-shoot-yourself thing, this isn't strobing, as the screen blanks out and then back fine again it does this green-purple flash as though somebody minimised a green and purple picture really quickly. I then run the cyberlink BD/ BD3D advisor which tells me that i need to upgrade to the full version if i want to get the full blu-ray experience, everything runs fine, its not my computer because i know someone who has the same model and runs blu-rays perfectly fine.
Basically i want to know whether there is any reliable, free way of playing blu-ray movies on my pc. I don't want to buy powerdvd because it's shit and more money than it's worth. I don't want to pay anything at all if i dont need to.
Suspicion active, was sprinting around no scoping everyone prior to demo then just ran around with pistol after I started, seems to be tracing through walls.

My steam ID is 76561198037997651
